Youth Ministry

Encouraging middle & high school students to grow in their relationship with the Lord

We focus on teaching relevant Biblical lessons and providing enriching activities for 6th to 12th graders.

Sunday Mornings

After meeting with the congregation for worship and communion, youth are dismissed to one of the following groups:

  • Young Women’s Class
  • Young Men’s Class
  • High School Class
  • Middle School Class
  • Combined Middle & High School Class

Note: All staff, paid and volunteer, must pass a background check in order to be able to work with youth of any age.

Additional Activities
  • Annual, Local Events: Back-To-School Celebrations, Trunk-Or-Treat, Christmas Progressive Dinner, Graduation Celebration, and Promotion Sunday
  • Service Opportunities: working as a teacher or helper in the children’s ministry, helping with Parents’ Night out, participating as a performer, teacher, assistant, or group leader in Vacation Bible School
  • Retreats: Restore (a Christian teen weekend event at Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach in September with worship, relevant lessons, fellowship, and fun), Winterfest (a Christian teen weekend event in Gatlinburg, TN. in February with worship, relevant lessons, entertainment, and fellowship)
  • Impact: a week-long Christian teen event at David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. for 9th-12th grades with large group sessions, daily group lessons, small group sessions, entertainment, and fun
  • Palmetto Bible Camp: a week-long camping experience during the first week in July in Marietta, SC with large group sessions, daily classes, athletics, crafts, games, swimming, and boating staffed by adult and college-age volunteers
